At Social House, we’re all about new ideas, creative collaborations, and fearless experimentation. When our Housemate Libby Volgyes approached us about providing an environment for chefs to create across kitchens while guests enjoy their efforts, how could we resist? To kick off Test Kitchen, a new chef popup series here at the House, Aaron Black (chef at PB Catch) and Sarah Sipe (pastry chef at The Regional) will be serving up a casually elegant and cozy summer evening of soul/sol-inspired dishes and perfectly paired wines in our Sidebar.

Chef Aaron Black works as Executive Chef at sustainability-forward seafood restaurant PB Catch on Palm Beach, where he’s been Executive Chef for the past seven years. Prior to PB Catch, he was Executive Chef at Pistache, where he served fine French cuisine on West Palm Beach’s waterfront. The road to fine dining started in the farmlands of Ohio for Aaron, though, where he ran his family’s restaurants and his grandparents owned the local creamery, churning out ice cream made with milk from local cows. He attended the Florida Culinary Institute. Currently, his favorite food is larb gai, and he likes fishing in his spare time.
Sarah Sipe is the pastry chef at The Regional Kitchen & Public House, where she serves up desserts such as the popular rocky road bar made with toasted homemade marshmallows, almonds and chocolate sauce. She studied at Johnson and Wales in Miami and Rhode Island and worked at the Mandarin Oriental in Miami, the Ritz Carlton, The Omphoy and the Sundy House before coming to the Regional. At the Regional, she works alongside Executive Chef Lindsay Autry. Sarah lives in West Palm Beach. When she’s not working, she enjoys going to the beach, riding her bike and playing with her 12-year-old dog named Fez. Her favorite food? A good sandwich.
