The 45+ small businesses and independents that call the Social House their work/home do so for many reasons: for work/create space, to meet clients and business partners, to host workshops and other events, to expand their social networks, to attend business-building classes and events, to find collaboration partners and to gain/give referrals. At the foundation of all these reasons is community: We’re better together. To benefit from our membership, you need to be a part of it and contribute in turn.
we put our members first
We get a lot of requests for those seeking to connect with our community outside of our membership program, and wanted to put this out there in a non-personal, applies-to-all kind of way: we always put our members first. Whenever possible, we look to our membership to provide products and services to us and the rest of our community, and always seek to build our members’ businesses by giving them the majority of our attention and energy: we see that as delivering on our mission. If we’ve declined or haven’t responded to your idea or request, it’s most likely due to this policy.
If the benefits of membership aren’t what you’re seeking right now, here are some other ways to get involved:
– Host an event or workshop: We rent our space out to the public with rates starting at $60/hour for workshops and $250 an hour for social events – 2 hour minimums apply. Members receive highly discounted and/or at-cost rates for events.
– Sponsor an in-house event: We’re always looking for food, beverage, entertainment + other services to add to our events and benefit our community.
– Provide samples or discounts on products/services our members will really love: We’d love to treat them and market your amazing product at the same time (win/win), at our discretion, of course.
