Social House is a boutique creative coworking and event space located on Lucerne Avenue in heart of downtown Lake Worth, an equally small and artsy city in Palm Beach County, just across the bridge from Palm Beach.
We have a niche membership: small business owners, freelancers and independent workers in creative industries. We opened in 2015 to provide what we felt our members needed most:
- Beautiful, professional-yet-creative meeting areas
- Open and spacious work areas
- Space for workshops, networking and other thought leadership development events
- Commercial kitchen and bar for true hospitality
- And the most important: a like-minded community for collaboration and support
Social House provides a more community-focused, welcoming, and visually creative alternative to traditional executive offices.
We are primarily a creative coworking space, providing work, studio and meeting rooms for solo entrepreneurs, small businesses and flexible workers in creative industries. Memberships start at $75 per month; more info here.
We also host parties, company events, intimate weddings and other social celebrations with a guest list of 2 to 150. Our rooms are cozy and sophisticated, designed with a clean, timeless aesthetic and an indoor/outdoor flow.
Sidebar, our craft beverage and light bite bar, is open to the public for pop-up dinners, workshops and other fun events throughout each month – check our calendar for details.
The Management Team
Social House is owned and managed by husband and wife team Eric and Laura McGlynn, and is the result of seven years of brainstorming, dreaming, scheming and building relationships in South Florida’s blossoming bespoke event industry. Laura began her small business journey in 2008 with a stationery design business, Make Merry, followed by the creation of Florida’s top localized wedding blog and vendor resource guide, Floridian Weddings (now Floridian Social). You can read a little more about the founding of Social House over on our blog.
On any given day, you’ll find one (or more) other friendly faces in the House: Megan, Desiree, Jenny and Francesca. Working as a team, they act as our Community and Venue Managers on a part-time basis, assisting our members, greeting new ones, giving tours of the space, and being the onsite maestros of our events.
